On “Kimbara” Barry samples legendary, multi GRAMMY award winning Cuban artist Celia Cruz - who collaborated with the likes of Aretha Franklin and acted alongside Antonio Banderas - on her 1974 single "Quimbara". He pays homage to this iconic salsa recording, although having no direct translation, "Quimbara" is believed to mean similar to ‘having a good time’ and ‘enjoying yourself’, synonymous with Barry’s upbeat music and something which struck a chord with the producer.
